LithoTect creates and tests for physical reality in a geological interpretation
by easily and accurately removing the folding and faulting.
This "balancing" process-restoration to a reasonable undeformed state-serves
to validate and refine an interpretation. The restorations are also
used to animate a structure and quantify fracture densities and distributions.
LithoTect analyzes fault sealing characteristics, determines hydrocarbon
migration pathways and accumulation zones, and predicts depositional
and lithofacies patterns. The methods it uses are based on the best
and latest research on how rocks get complicated.
GLS
uncomplicates the complicated in geological interpretation
by creating an entirely new way to represent rock structure and deformation
as geometry fields. These fields automatically incorporate mixtures
of influencing elements and combinations of geometric styles (including
similar and concentric or angular-bend parallel geometries). They are
the basis for reconstructing bedding layers and computing dip or curvature
everywhere within a rock package. Fields define the slip systems used
for restoration/forward modeling in 2D and 3D, and strain or deformation
intensity analysis. The restorations include images and seismic traces-now
you can do your sequence stratigraphic analysis on the undeformed seismic
