GLS has developed an exploration and production earth modeling and analysis
system with special emphasis on structural geology: the LithoTect application.
It comprises a foundation for assembling geoscientific applications
that can build 2D and 3D, fully populated, statistically meaningful,
scientifically-constrained geologic models from the reservoir to the
basin scale. The earth modeling application framework of LithoTect®
- called EMAF - is designed to help both the individual specialist
and the asset team transform raw data into the geological knowledge
from which reasonable reservoir risk can be derived. EMAF is based on
an open architecture, permitting the addition of analysis modules provided
by other vendors as well as customers.
GLS is providing state-of-the-art structural analysis tools - its special
expertise. In addition to easy-to-use interfaces, the LithoTect®
application contains a complete suite of dip-constrained and general
map, profile, well, and seismic interpretation methods. Its depth conversion
and well monitoring and projection capabilities are state-of-the-art.
The structural restoration and forward modeling techniques are unique,
include decompaction and isostacy, and operate on both interpretations
and seismic data.
LithoTect® software can be operated as a multi-user system with
the means for collaborative problem solving over a network. Written
in pure Java™, it supports a variety of look-and-feel user interfaces,
with future implementations ranging from standard terminal-keyboard-mouse
to voice command/response technology, from simple stereo glasses with
integrated head position detection to fully immersive environments.
LithoTect® software runs on laptops as well as workstations of all
types (including Windows 95/98/2000/NT 4.0/ME/XP/Vista, Solaris, Linux,
G/UX 4.2, DYNIX/ptx 4.4.2 forward,
HP-UX, IRIX, MacOS, NetWare, OpenVMS, OS/2, OS/390, OS/400,
SCO, Tru64, UNIX, UnixWare, VxWorks).
Available with standard perpetual licensing options, the LithoTect® application can also be leased on daily to monthly levels with a simple credit card or purchase order transaction.
